Now, with an established VPS you have configured, using DirectAdmin, you’re ready for WordPress. And, if you have, or intend to have, multiple sites, use Softaculous for its WordPress Manager.
Look at WordPress Softaculous (pending & under development, starting April, 2026) to see how to setup Softaculous to perform a custom WP install. Otherwise, you’re probably not seeing the behind-the-scenes default WP settings. Also, it has a great set of base security settings for your site.
In addition, it has a way to create and save WordPress Sets of Plugins & Themes. You can create and save a collection of plugins and a theme to install automatically when you install WordPress.
Another feature is it lets you register an existing WP site so you can then use it for things like managing on/off auto updates for each plugin on the fly. You then have access to all the features as if you used Softaculous originally to install WP.
